Moonlight Peaks Loveage Festival Guide ♡ Gift Exchange, Food Buffet & Flower Arranging

The Loveage Festival is a two-night spring festival in Moonlight Peaks, taking place on Spring 20 and Spring 21. A few nights before the festival begins, Llemi will send you a letter in the mail inviting you to prepare for the celebrations.

The Loveage Festival is all about getting closer to the villagers and raising your friendships with them. On the first night, you'll get a special cutscene when you enter town, where the villagers introduce you to the different festival stalls and activities. During the festival, you can contribute food to a town banquet, create a special flower arrangement with Luna, shop for Loveage-themed goodies, and take part in a secret gift exchange with the villagers.

In this little guide, I'll walk you through everything you can do during the Loveage Festival, from the different stalls and activities on the first night to the Secret Admirer Gift Exchange on the second night. So, let's take a look at what this lovely little festival has to offer! ♡

Loveage Festival Banquet

At the Loveage Festival Banquet, run by Mina, you can't purchase any food, but you can contribute a dish or drink of your own to the festival celebration!

You'll find the banquet tables outside Third Eye Threads, with three empty spots where you can add your own food or drinks. To contribute something, talk to Mina and select Talk About the Banquet. Your inventory bar will then pop up, allowing you to choose a food or drink to add to the banquet.

Your contribution will appear on one of the empty spots on the table in the bottom-left. If you'd like to add another dish or drink, simply talk to Mina again and select Talk About the Banquet. You can contribute up to three times in total, so bring along a few dishes or drinks if you'd like to fill all three spots!

Loveage Festival Flower Arranging

If you'd like to make a special gift for someone, be sure to stop by Luna's Flower Arranging Stall outside Webb of Wonders in the southeast corner of town.

The stall features a selection of seasonal and Loveage Festival flowers that you can use to create your own customized bouquet. Simply talk to Luna and select the option to make a flower arrangement, then choose the flowers you'd like to include in your bouquet.

Once you've created your perfect arrangement, you'll pay for the total cost of all the flowers you've used. So if you're planning to make several bouquets, make sure to save up some coins before the festival!

These custom flower arrangements also make lovely gifts for the Secret Admirer Gift Exchange, so this is a great place to visit if you're looking for something special to give one of your favorite villagers.

Loveage Festival Gift Shop

The Loveage Festival Gift Shop, run by Elvira, can be found in the Midnight Market area and is definitely worth checking out if you love decorating!

Elvira has a selection of adorable Loveage-themed furniture, wallpapers, food, and more available for purchase. There are plenty of cute decorations to bring some festive romance to your home, along with a few treats that make lovely gifts — or, of course, you can keep them all for yourself!

If you have some extra coins to spend, this is a great opportunity to pick up some seasonal items that you won't find in the regular shops.

Other Festival Vendors

There are also a couple of familiar faces around town during the Loveage Festival! Jacques can be found in his usual spot at the Midnight Market, where he has a painting for sale, while Snek sets up outside Alina's house in the southwest corner of the main Moonlight Peaks area, selling hats from their shop.

So if you're already out exploring the festival, don't forget to stop by and see what they have in stock!

Secret Admirer Gift Exchange

At the Gift Exchange Stall, run by Llemi, you can choose up to three villagers to give a gift to. You’ll also be able to select the gift you’d like to give each of them, so make sure to bring along the gifts you want to give to your sweethearts — or friends!

After giving your first gift, simply interact with the stall again to choose another villager and gift. You can repeat this up to three times in total.

Of course, it’s best to choose gifts that your chosen villagers actually like. If you’re not sure what your favorite characters enjoy, flowers are usually a safe choice. Just keep in mind that Noel prefers fish over flowers, so you may want to bring something else for him! You can also look up each villager’s favorite gifts if you want to make sure you pick something they’ll love.

Once you’ve turned in all of your gifts, you’ll have to wait until the next night for the actual gift exchange to take place. So choose your secret admirers carefully, prepare their gifts, and come back the next night on Spring 21 to see what they have waiting for you!

Second Night: The Gift Exchange

The Secret Admirer Gift Exchange takes place the following night, on Spring 21. As soon as you enter town, you'll get a little cutscene with Llemi announcing that it's finally time to exchange your gifts.

Before the exchange begins, Llemi will ask if you're ready to join in. If there's anything else you'd like to take care of first, simply choose "No, not yet" and you can come back when you're ready.

However, there's actually no need to put off the exchange unless you have something specific you want to do first. Starting the cutscene doesn't advance the time or skip you to the end of the night, so you can safely go ahead with it as soon as you enter town.

Once you decide to begin, you'll watch as some of the villagers receive their gifts. After that, it's time for the villagers you chose the night before to receive the gifts you prepared for them. Finally, you'll receive a gift of your own, with a little heart symbol appearing above the villager who gave it to you so you can see who your secret admirer is.

Once the exchange is finished, you can continue with your night as normal. You'll still have plenty of time to browse Elvira's Loveage Festival shop, chat with the villagers, or finish up anything you still need to do around your farm.

Final Thoughts

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed by the gift exchange! I was expecting there to be some kind of special interaction with either the villagers I gave gifts to or the villager who gave me mine. It would have been really cute to have a unique conversation or reaction tied to the gifts, especially with your secret admirer, but for now, you simply get to find out who they are. You can talk to the villager afterward, but they'll just have their regular Loveage Festival dialogue.

I'm also not entirely sure how the game chooses who gives you a gift. In my case, Saga ended up being my secret admirer. I did have one heart with her, but I also had several villagers with more than one heart, so it doesn't seem to simply go to the villager you have the highest friendship with. This may be random, though, so I'll have to see what happens in future years!

Even after the festival itself is over, there's a cute little detail waiting for you the following night. If you talk to the villagers, they'll have new dialogue about the Loveage Festival and what they thought about the celebrations now that they're over.

It's a small detail, but I really enjoyed seeing the villagers acknowledge the festival even after it had ended. ♡
