Citlali's New Outfit Showcase - Whispers of Stars and Smoke

When Citlali was first released, I was taking a break from Genshin Impact, so I completely missed my chance to pull for her. Ever since then, I've been hoping she'd return, and with her rerun finally here, I couldn't let the opportunity pass by.

Despite the next update introducing several exciting new characters, I ended up spending every last Primogem I had saved to bring Citlali home. And once I saw her gorgeous new outfit, Whispers of Stars and Smoke, I didn't hesitate to spend my Genesis Crystals either.

It was absolutely worth it.

A Beautiful New Look

I have to admit that I wasn't the biggest fan of Natlan as a whole. While there are some fun characters, none of them really clicked with me the way characters from previous regions have. Citlali was the one exception. From the moment I first saw her, I loved her sleepy personality, her beautiful pastel color palette, and her overall design. She immediately became the one Natlan character I knew I wanted on my account.

Whispers of Stars and Smoke somehow makes her look even better. The outfit keeps everything I already loved about Citlali while giving her a softer and even more elegant appearance. The flowing lavender and white fabrics, oversized ribbons, fluffy slippers, and tiny decorative details all come together beautifully. It feels cozy, magical, and perfectly suited to her laid-back personality.

I especially love the pastel purple and pink accents throughout the outfit. It's subtle without being plain, and somehow manages to feel both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. It's easily one of my favorite character outfits that HoYoverse has released.

My Favorite Team So Far

Since finally getting her, I've been using Citlali almost nonstop. While I haven't been chasing the latest meta teams, I've ended up putting together one of the most enjoyable exploration teams I've played in quite a while.

My current dream team consists of Raiden Shogun, Mizuki, Citlali, and Kokomi.

I actually chose this team because these are some of my favorite characters in the game, both in terms of their personalities and their designs. I also love how beautifully they look together. Their soft shades of purple, blue, and white complement each other perfectly, making the whole team feel surprisingly cohesive whenever they're on screen.

It's definitely not what anyone would call a meta team, but it's been performing far better than I expected. Raiden provides more than enough damage to carry the team, Kokomi keeps everyone healthy, and Mizuki offers fantastic mobility with her Elemental Skill.

Pairing Mizuki's movement with Citlali's floating ability makes exploration incredibly relaxing. Traversing cliffs, valleys, and large open areas feels smooth, and I rarely find myself wanting to switch characters while exploring. It's become one of those teams that's simply comfortable to play, even if it isn't the strongest on paper.

Sometimes the most enjoyable teams aren't the strongest ones—they're the ones you genuinely love playing. This team checks every box for me: characters I enjoy, a color palette I love, and gameplay that makes exploring Teyvat feel effortless.

Final Thoughts

I'm so happy I finally had the chance to add Citlali to my account after missing her original release. Between her fun gameplay, her charming personality, and this beautiful new outfit, she's quickly become one of my favorite characters to use.

Even though my Primogem stash has completely disappeared—and there are plenty of new characters arriving in the next update—I don't regret the decision for a second. Some characters just click with you, and for me, Citlali is definitely one of them.

Now excuse me while I continue exploring Teyvat with my new favorite team.
